Men’s Tennis Drops Close Match to Duke

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The #35 Florida State men’s tennis team dropped a rain
shortened match to Duke University 4-2 Wednesday at the Scott Speicher
Tennis Center in Tallahassee. FSU’s record now stands at 10-3 on the
season and 1-2 in the ACC.


In singles action five of the six matches went to three sets. Florida
State was led by No. 2 Ty Braswell who defeated Dmitry Muzyka 6-3, 3-6,
7-6. The other winner for FSU was Michael Ingham at No. 4 singles who beat
Jordan Wile 3-6, 6-4, 7-6. No. 3 Yvo Niks, who hadn’t lost a match this
spring, lost to Alberto Brause to drop his record to 12-1 in dual match
play.


Florida State take the court again on March 21st when they face N.C.
State at the Speicher Center at 2:00 p.m.
