Men’s Tennis Falls to Wake Forest, 4-3

WINSTOM-SALEM, N.C. – The Florida State men’s tennis team split the singles matches but lost the doubles point as they lost to Wake Forest 4-3 this afternoon in dual match play in Winstom-Salem. The Seminoles fall to 7-4 on the season and 0-1 in the ACC.

Mike Ingham took the first match for the Seminoles, winning the #3 position 6-4, 6-4 over Mike Berger. Davidson Kozlowski defeated Johan Hanson in two sets, 6-4, 6-2 as Chad Mooney needed three sets to beat Brett Mauro 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. Ty Braswell took the loss at #2 6-7 (11), 6-2 as Ivo Niks had a tough match at #1, falling to Myles Clouston 1-6, 1-6. Noah Schnell had a hard fought battle at #6 before falling to Justin Kaufman 6-7 (7), 5-7. Niks and Inghman teamed up to win the only doubles match for the Seminoles as they defeated Berger and Mauro 8-6.

The Seminoles return to action on Tuesday, March 9th as they travel to Durham to take on Maryland at 2:00pm and Duke on Wednesday, March 10th at 2:00pm.
