TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State men’s tennis team, led by senior Xavier Luscan, will host UCF at 11 a.m. and Georgia Southern at 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 2nd. Florida State was ranked 56th in the latest ITA poll and neither of the Golden Knights nor the Eagles are ranked.
Florida State leads the all-time series against Georgia Southern 26-5. The Seminoles would like a repeat of last year’s victory over the Eagles. Also, The Seminoles have never lost a match to the UCF Golden Knights in the seven times the two teams have met.
After the home stand against UCF and Georgia Southern on Saturday, the Seminoles will take on the Miami Hurricanes next Saturday, February 9th. The original time for that match was 1 p.m. but it has been moved to 2 p.m. The Seminoles will no longer be hosting Southern Methodist University on Sunday, February 3rd as that match has been cancelled.
CHANGES TO MEN’S TENNIS SCHEDULE:
The match against Furman, which was rained out last Sunday, has been rescheduled. The Seminoles will now face the Paladins on February 17th at 2:30 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Seminoles have also added a match to their schedule in place of the cancelled match against SMU. The Seminoles will now play Florida Atlantic University on Sunday, March 31st at 11 a.m. at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center.
