Men’s Tennis Signs Top Recruit from Croatia

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State University men’s tennis coach David
Barron announced the signing of Dannie Faranulovic, a top-ranked junior
from Croatia.




Faranulovic attended the Bollettieri Tennis Academy for four years. A
graduate of Bradenton High School, Faranulovic will become the second FSU
tennis player with Croatian heritage. Freshman Marina Raic of the FSU
women’s team is Croatian as well.




“Obviously getting a world-class player will have an immediate, big impact
on our team,” said head coach David Barron.




Faranulovic will join a young Seminole squad next year that will include
one senior, two juniors, and two sophomores. With the departure of four
seniors from this seasonis squad, competition for starting spots next
season will be wide open. Coach Barron is expected to sign two more
players during the spring signing period.
