CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA — The Florida State men’s tennis team sweeped the
University of Maryland 6-0 on Friday. With the win, the Seminoles improve
their record to 15-4 on the season and 4-2 in the ACC.
Florida State entered singles with a different look as Ty Braswell
assumed the No. 1 position for Alex Golub who did not play. He defeated
Dale Cathell in straight sets 6-3, 6-5. Other winners for the Seminoles
were No. 2 Yvo Niks, No. 3 Mike Ingham, No. 4 Davidson Kozlowski, No. 5
Chad Mooney, and No. 6 Gerald Casas
FSU will face ACC foe Virginia on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in
Charlottesville in a battle for third place in the conference standings.
