TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State men’s tennis team will be hosting the Seminole Team Tournament this Saturday, January 26th at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center. The teams attending the tournament are Florida A & M, Tennessee Tech and Jacksonville.

The tournament will be played in a round robin format featuring the match-ups of the Seminoles against the Jacksonville Dolphins and the FAMU Rattlers taking on the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, both at 9 a.m. The winners of each of these will play in a championship match at 3 p.m.

This Seminole team features four seniors, two juniors, three sophomores and three freshman. Newcomer Mat Cloer will make his first home appearance at the Speicher Tennis Center. He made it to the fourth round of the ACC Indoors, his first action as a Seminole.

The Seminoles hope to continue the success they had last weekend at the ACC Indoor Championships, where junior Rodrigo Laub and senior Xavier Luscan won the doubles title.

The Seminoles will face their first dual-match opponent on Sunday January 27th at 1p.m., when the Furman Paladins travel to Tallahassee. Admission is free to the public.
