Metraux Sisters Advance To Match Play At British Ladies Amateur

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (seminoles.com) – Florida State’s Kim Metraux and Morgane Metraux, who helped led the Seminoles to a 15th place finish at the 2016 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championships, have both advanced to Thursday’s round of match play at the 116th Ladies British Amateur Championship at Dundonald Links in Scotland.

Morgane (Switzerland) will face Dewi Weber (Netherlands) while Kim faces Chloe Williams (Wales) in matches that both begin in the morning on Thursday.  Morgane, a rising junior at Florida State, will face Weber, a rising sophomore at the University of Miami while Kim, also a rising junior at Florida State faces Williams, who finished in third place at the 2016 Irish Women’s Open.

 

Metraux Sisters Advance To Match Play At British Ladies Amateur

 

Kim qualified 10th during two rounds of stroke play as she shot a 1-under par score of 70 in the second round.  Morgane qualified 35th with a second round score of 74.  The sisters are two of the seven players from Switzerland who began the event and two of the three from their home country to qualify for match play.
