TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Former Florida State standout Katie Mosher was named Outstanding Adult Female Player for the Florida Region of USA Volleyball prior to the Florida Professional Volleyball League Invitational held in Orlando. Mosher, a native of Fort Myers, is the first Seminole to receive the award since Jordana Price in 2013.
Mosher received the award due to her commitment and dedication to the Florida Region programs, where she began competing at a junior volleyball level. Nominated by her peers and coaches, for her positive attitude, extreme talent and athletic ability, Mosher has now represented the program at a regional, state and collegiate level.
Mosher is currently one of 24 players competing for a roster spot with the Florida Wave along with former Seminole outside hitter Nicole Walch. The Wave are an indoor professional volleyball team affiliated with the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) that is sanctioned by USA Volleyball.
FSU fans can catch Mosher and Walch in Orlando later this month when the Wave compete at the fifth annual PVL Championships that are set for May 28-31.
