March 25, 2001

TUSCALOOSA, Al. –
Freshman Rusty Mosley finished in a tie for 15th-place in the individual standings and the Florida State men’s golf team finish in the 10th place in the team standings at the Conrad Rehling/University of Alabama Invitational at the `Ol Colony Golf course as competition in the event finished Sunday. Mosley’s individual finish was the best of his career as a Seminole.

Mosley (Vidalia, Ga.) carded a final score of 10-over par 226 for the three-round tournament. His 15th-place finish was the best of his career topping a 23rd-place finish at the Coca-Cola Tournament of Champions in October. In addition, his 226 score was the second-best of his career and his second round score of 73 tied his career-low. Mosley is now averaging 76.6 strokes in six rounds this spring.

Mosley was followed in the Seminoles’ lineup by sophomore Andy Lewis (Garland, Texas) who finished with a 12-over par 228 for the tournament. It marked the third consecutive event that Lewis had shot 228 or below. Lewis finished in a tie for 26th-place.

Senior Mark Donaldson (Kirkaldy, Scotland) and junior Rick Westbrook (Alton, Ga.) finished in a tie for 40th-place with identical scores of 18-over par 234. Senior Kris Hannah (Tallahassee, Fla.) finished with a three-round score of 236.
