Washington, D.C. – The 2006 and 2007 men’s outdoor National Champion Florida State Seminoles spent the afternoon of June 18 at the White House in Washington, D.C. and had a personal meet-and-greet with President George W. Bush.

The group had the opportunity to talk with President Bush about their achievements on and off the track as he greeted them in his library. The team presented the President with a personalized FSU jacket and a back-to-back National Champions t-shirt that he held in the group picture.

Following the photo, the 28 NCAA National Champion teams that were in attendance were seated on the South Lawn with the team captains representing each school on stage. The President said a few words of congratulations to all the athletes and praised all for their hard work throughout the season.

“It was really great to actually meet the President,” team captain Greg Bolden said. “You always see the White House on TV and we actually got to go in and meet the President in person. This was a really great experience for everyone.”
