Nashville, TN – The third day of the trip to Nashville, TN for the No. 27 Florida State Seminoles was a little longer than any of the other days since leaving Tallahassee, early Thursday morning. With a mid-morning match that lasted most of the day, Saturday was strictly business.
One group had a 7:30 breakfast call in the hotel dining room and an 8:00 a.m. departure to the tennis courts for preparation before the match, scheduled for 10:00 a.m. CST. The next wave of Seminoles left around 8:30 for the campus to join the earlier group.
Once the 4 ? hour match was finished, with a 45-minute rain delay in the middle, FSU grabbed lunch at the Atlanta Bread Company and then split up. A small group headed to the movies, another spent a few hours shopping while the last crashed in the hotel. With the rainy and muggy weather, walking around outside left few options although spending some time on the trip relaxing in the room was good.
Florida State will face the No. 7 Vanderbilt on Sunday, May 16, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. EST on the courts at Vanderbilt University. FSU is a number two seed in the region while Vanderbiltt is number one. The winner of the match will be one of 16 teams in the country with a spot at the NCAA Championships in Athens, GA.
