The top eight teams and the top two individual players not on one of the qualifying teams in each of the three NCAA regional championships will play in the NCAA Championship Finals at the University of Georgia May 21-24. She carded a 142 in the first two rounds of the 2011 NCAA East Regional Championship during which she finished in a tie for third place in the individual standings. The school record for a 36-hole score is 138 (69-69) by four-time All-American Caroline Westrup during the 2077 NCAA East Regional Championship.

Castelain carded nearly twice as many holes at par or better (15) in the second round as compared to the first round (eight) and finished with four stroke improvement despite not carding a single birdie. She carded three birdies but scored eight rounds above par in the first round.
“We battled the course today but I saw a ton of positives from each of our girls,” said head coach Amy Bond. “The main thing is that we are all learning and that’s a great thing for all of our players – for Jess as she continues her career and for the younger players as they realize the hard work they have dedicated to this season has really paid off. I am pleased with how each girl is continuing to work her way around the course.”
Florida State tees off in the final round a 12:55 PST and will play with Harvard and Miami.
