No. 1 Seminoles Continue To Prepare For Wake Forest

Oct. 13, 1999

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The No. 1 ranked Florida State Seminoles
continued preparations for Saturday’s contest vs. the Wake Forest Demon
Deacons with a 20 period practice in shorts and shoulder pads on the Ed
Williamson practice fields.

“Today’s practice was kind of up and down,” said head coach Bobby
Bowden. “There were some good parts and there were parts where we looked
ragged. I thought that the throwing and catching looked a little bit
better than yesterday.”

The highlight of the day goes to Anquan Boldin. Boldin made three
key receptions, including one touchdown catch during team drills. Marcus
Outzen was responsible for all three passes to Boldin.

INJURY REPORT: DT Corey Simon, OT Char-ron Dorsey, OG Donald Heaven and OT
Otis Duhart all sat out of practice today with an intestinal virus. LB
Bobby Rhodes returned to practice today after suffering from the same
ailment.

Kickoff for Saturday’s game vs. the Demon Deacons is set for 7:00
p.m. The game is available on pay-per-view through the Sunshine Network.
