Florida State, No. 12 in this week’s Collegiate Baseball poll, returns to ACC action this weekend against Georgia Tech after playing the last seven games out of conference. The Seminoles pounded the Florida Gators 16-4 on Wednesday night, totaling 17 hits including eight for extra bases. Stephen Drewwent 4-for-5 with two doubles and a home run, while Aaron Cheesman and Bryan Zech both went 3-for-4. Friday and Saturday’s games are set for a 7:00 p.m. start and will be televised live by Sunshine Network with Saturday’s game being the ACC’s Game of the Week. Sophomore Eddy Martinez-Esteve leads the Seminoles in batting average (.389), home runs (12), doubles (13) and RBI (47).

Georgia Tech (22-17, 4-5 ACC)
The Yellow Jackets dropped two of three last weekend against Washington before rebounding with a 7-6, 13-inning win over Winthrop on Tuesday. Following the weekend series, Georgia Tech will take a week off for spring semester final exams before traveling to NC State for a three-game ACC series next weekend.

Friday and Saturday’s Florida State – Georgia Tech games will be televised live by Sunshine Network. Both games are scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start. Gene Deckerhoff and Keith Jones are slated to call the action.
