TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No. 16 Florida State Seminoles (9-4, 7-1 ACC) continued to prepare for their Sugar Bowl match-up with No. 4 Georgia (11-1, 7-1 SEC) with a two-hour practice Thursday afternoon. The team hit the practice fields around 12:00 p.m. Practice began with work on special teams and fundamental drills before working against Bulldog scout teams.
“It was better today than it was yesterday,” said head coach Bobby Bowden. “We threw and caught the ball better than yesterday too.”
Florida State and Georgia are meeting for the first time since the 1984 Citrus Bowl. The game ended in a 17-17 tie.
The Seminoles will practice again on Friday and Saturday before breaking for the holidays. The Nokia Sugar Bowl will be televised live by ABC on January 1st at 8:30 p.m. EST.
