TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Currently on a nine-game winning streak, No. 17 Florida State will take its show on the road to Chestnut Hill, Mass., for the final regular season series against Boston College on May 2-3. The Seminoles have swept the last three Atlantic Coast Conference match-ups and enter the weekend at 38-13 and 14-4 in the league which is just one game behind front-runner, Georgia Tech (38-13/15-3).
In 11 meetings with the Eagles since 2001, FSU has taken the win on nine occasions and are 2-0 when playing at Shea Field in Chestnut Hill. Last season the Noles were 2-1 on JoAnne Graf Field and defeated BC in the first game for both teams 5-1 in nine-innings at the 2008 ACC Tournament in College Park, Md.
Just five days after the weekend series, Florida State will return to Raleigh, N.C., where it swept NC State on April 18-19 for the 2009 ACC Softball Tournament. This season’s tourney is single-elimination with the Garnet and Gold projected to be the first or second seed.
