TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State is on a six-game winning streak after sweeping NC State on the road last weekend as it hosts Virginia on April 25-26. The Seminoles also moved up in the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 Poll to No. 18 and found their way back onto the ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll at No. 24 with a 35-13 overall record and 11-4 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Virginia, which received one first-place vote in the ACC Preseason Poll, travels to Tallahassee at 2-12 in the ACC and 25-17 overall. The Cavs were swept by Georgia Tech in Charlottesville last weekend and trail the all-time series with the Noles, 15-59.
The double dip on Saturday will start at 4:00 p.m. and Sunday’s single game has been moved up to a Noon start.

With six conference games remaining before the ACC Tournament in Raleigh, N.C., on May 8-10, Florida State is on par to finish with the best ACC record in the program’s history. Prior to this season, the Noles’ top finish was 13-8 in 2007.

Following Sunday’s game, the three Seminole seniors, Jessica Gilmore, Michelle Snyder and Kaleigh Rafter, will be honored as they take their final walk to home plate on JoAnne Graf Field.

The entire three-game series will be on ACC Select as well as GameTracker live stats. Both can be found by logging onto www.seminoles.com.
