No. 18 Women’s Tennis Wraps Up Regular Season on the Road

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –The No. 18 Florida State women’s tennis team (16-7, 7-5 ACC) comes into the final weekend of the regular season riding a five-match win streak. The Seminoles head to Notre Dame (10-12, 2-10 ACC) on Friday, April 20th to take on the Irish and then head south to take on Louisville (13-10, 3-9 ACC) on Sunday, April 22nd.

Florida State is 2-4 all-time against Notre Dame and 2-3 against the Fighting Irish under head coach Jennifer Hyde. Notre Dame is led in wins by Ally Bojczuk and Allison Miller. Bojczuk is 12-6 this spring with a 9-2 record on court six. She is 5-6 in ACC play and 0-1 against ranked opponents. Miller is 11-10 with all of her matches on courts one and two. She is 8-5 on court two and 1-7 against ranked opponents. The Fighting Irish doubles attack is led by Cameron Corse and Zoe Spence who come in ranked No. 89 in the country. The duo is 8-9 this spring with a 2-2 record on court one and a 6-7 record on court two. The pair is 3-3 against ranked opponents and 3-6 in the ACC.

The Seminoles are 6-0 all-time against Louisville including a 3-0 record under coach Hyde. In those three matches, the Garnet and Gold have outscored the Cardinals 12-2 including a 4-0 shutout last season. The Cardinals are led by Ola Mally on court one and Mariana Humberg on court two. Mally is 7-13 with all of her matches on the first court. She is 0-8 against ranked opponents and 1-9 in the ACC. Humberg is 9-7 on court two and winless against ranked opponents. The Louisville doubles attach is led by Humberg and Abbie Pahz. The due is ranked No. 45 in the country and are 14-3 on court one with a 2-3 record against ranked opponents and a 5-3 record in the ACC.

Noles in the Polls
In the latest ITA poll, Florida State comes in at No. 18. In the USTA top-25, Florida State comes in at No. 16. The Seminoles also have two ranked singles players and two ranked Doubles pairs. The duo of sophomore Andrea Garcia and freshman Petra Hule are ranked No. 49 and the pair of Carla Touly and Ariana Rahmanparast are ranked No. 73. Touly is ranked No. 18 in singles and Hule is ranked No. 93 in this week’s Oracle/ITA rankings.
