TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Just one week after sweeping Maryland in three shutout victories, the 19th-ranked Florida State softball team will travel to Raleigh, N.C., for the Atlantic Coast Conference series against NC State (20-20, 3-9) beginning with a double dip on Saturday, April 18.
The 32-13 Seminoles are currently third in the conference with an 8-4 ACC record and lead the young series against the Wolfpack, 9-7. Last season, FSU swept NC State on JoAnne Graf Field for the `Strikeout Cancer’ weekend on April 26-27. This year the teams will meet on NC State’s Pack 4 Pink weekend in honor of breast cancer awareness with all donations benefitting the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.
With just nine ACC match-ups remaining in the regular season, the Garnet and Gold hopes to continue its three-game winning streak and add a few more shutouts to the 17 already recorded this year.
Live stats will be available by logging onto Seminoles.com and gopack.com and Sunday’s single game at noon will be shown live online through ACC Select.
