TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – The 20th-ranked Florida State Men’s Golf team prepares for its toughest tournament thus far in the spring season, playing in the Querencia Cabo Collegiate at Querencia Golf Club from March 4-6 in Cabo, Mexico.
The 15-team field includes 13 teams that are ranked in the Top 50 of the Golfstat rankings. They include #1 Oklahoma State, #6 Baylor, #2 Vanderbilt, #12 California, #13 Wake Forest, #15 Texas, #17 Stanford, #18 Arkansas,
#20 Florida State, #24 USF, #27 Arizona State, #44 Mississippi and #49 Duke.
Houston and Rice are also among the 15-team field as well.
Florida State plays in Cabo for the fourth consecutive season, having won the tournament in 2015.
FSU freshman John Pak is coming off his first tournament title after winning the Seminole Intercollegiate last weekend. Pak carded an 8-under 208 at Golden Eagle Country Club, continuing his tremendous start to his FSU career.
The Seminoles are bringing five golfers to the Querencia Cabo Collegiate, including Pak, junior Bennett Baker, redshirt senior Harry Ellis, redshirt sophomore Jonathan Keppler and sophomore Jamie Li.
A shot-gun start will begin the tournament on Sunday, with every golfer beginning at 11 a.m. ET/9 a.m. MT.
