BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Mara Freshour scored 21 points and freshman Antionette Howard had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, leading No. 21 Florida State over Indiana 85-78 Friday night in the women’s Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
The Seminoles (6-1) were outrebounded 40-35 and trailed 41-37 at the break. But Florida State outscored Indiana 48-37 in the second half, going 14-of-24 from the field.
Haylie Linn and Jamie Braun each had 16 points to lead Indiana (4-3), which shot 28-of-52 from the field and sank 10-of-21 3-pointers. Linn was 5-of-5 from beyond the arc.
Jori Davis added 10 points for the Hoosiers.
Free-throw shooting gave the Seminoles a boost in the second half. They made 17 of 28 trips while Indiana was just 5-of-9.
