TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Seminoles turned up the heat last week after taking two of three games against then-No. 15 North Carolina to open up ACC play and then held their own against top 10 teams at the Judi Garman Classic over the weekend. Following those performances, Florida State moved up in both the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 and the ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25 polls to No. 22.
Now 20-8/2-1 on the season, the Garnet and Gold returns to Tallahassee on Wednesday, March 18, to host Jacksonville in a doubleheader starting at 5:00 p.m. on JoAnne Graf Field.
The Noles lead the all-time series with their neighbors to the east, 10-4, since first meeting in 2003. Last season FSU was 2-1 with the Dolphins, dropping one game in Tallahassee and picking up both wins in Jacksonville.
JU travels to the Seminole Softball Complex with a 13-15 overall record and are 0-2 in the Atlantic Sun after getting run-ruled twice by Campbell on March 6.
Fans can watch both games on Wednesday night live on ACC Select and as always, GameTracker live stats will also be available on Seminoles.com.
