TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No. 22 Seminole softball team will head east to Jacksonville, Fla., for a doubleheader with the North Florida Ospreys beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23. The late edition games are the first of four make-ups this week for Florida State as it lost five games when the NFCA Leadoff Classic was rained out last month.
FSU enters the match-up at 22-8 after sweeping a doubleheader with Jacksonville on March 18. UNF finished week seven 13-16 after splitting a double with Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday, March 21.
The 2009 meeting is just the third between the Noles and Ospreys with the first, a doubleheader, back in 2007 resulting in two wins for the Garnet and Gold.
Florida State will return home to JoAnne Graf Field to host Florida A&M in a single game on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. before taking a trip to Alabama to play Troy and Georgia State in two more make-ups. The FAMU game is also the annual Home Run Derby and fans are invited to take part in this year’s event.
As always, GameTracker live stats will be available for all Seminole softball games.
