No. 24 Lady Seminoles Pick Up Three Top 25 Finishes On Friday Night

AUBURN, Ala. –
The 24th-ranked Florida State women’s swimming and diving team earned three top 25 finishes on the second day of competition at the 2003 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships in Auburn, Ala. Junior Emma Dutton finish 18th overall in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:02.26, just missing a spot in the consolation finals and All-America honorable mention honors.

The 200-yard medley relay squad of sophomore Emily Breen, Dutton, junior Loren Hansen and sophomore Jennie Lyes placed 19th in the nation with a time of 1:42.82.

In other individual action on Friday, Breen finished 25th in the 100-butterfly (54.41), sophomore Tiffany Manning ended up 26th on the three-meter springboard (250.36), junior Andree-Anne LeRoy placed 39th in the 400-IM (4:23.27) and Hansen touched the wall 44th in the 200-freestyle (1:50.12).

The final day of competition will begin Saturday at noon with preliminary heats and will conclude at 8p.m. with the championship finals.
