No. 24 Lady Seminoles Wrap-up Competition At NCAA Championships

AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 24 Lady Seminole swimming and diving program competed in the final day of competition at the 2003 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships Saturday in Auburn, Ala. Sophomore diver Tiffany Manning had the best finish on the day placing 10th in the nation in the platform diving competition. She just missed out on competing in the event final Saturday night, by less than four points. Manning ended the competition with 393.45 points.

The Lady Seminoles had three competitors in individual events on the final day in Auburn. Emma Dutton finished 31st in the 100 freestyle with a time of 50.28, while fellow teammate Jennie Lyes raced to a time of 51.42, good for 69th place. In the 200 backstroke competition, the Tribe’s Andree-Anne Leroy picked up a 46th place finish with her time of 2:05.81

The 400 freestyle relay team of Emily Breen, Liz Parkinson, Loren Hansen, and Emma Dutton concluded the tournament for the Lady Seminoles with a 17th place finish in a time of 3:22.74.

Florida State finished the 2003 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships in 36th place with a total of nine points.
