#26 Florida State (31-18, 10-8 ACC)

Florida State dropped two spots to No. 26 in this week’s Collegiate Baseball poll despite winning a second straight ACC road series against a ranked opponent. The Seminoles took two of three at Clemson two weeks ago and did the same at then-No. 7 Virginia last weekend. Senior right-hander Rhett James was named ACC Pitcher of the Week on Monday after throwing a complete game shutout against the Cavaliers last Friday. Wednesday’s game at Florida wraps up a seven-game road stretch against ranked teams. The Seminoles finish the season with Duke this weekend in Tallahassee before heading to Wake Forest next week. FSU will travel directly from Wake to the ACC Tournament, which will be held in Salem, Virginia. The Seminoles and Gators are playing just three games this season with each team winning one. UF won 7-6 in 11 innings in Gainesville on March 31 with FSU taking the second game by a final score of 16-4 in Tallahassee on April 21. Stephen Drew (.800, 1 HR, 2 2B, 3 RBI), Danny Wardell (.667, 2 2B) and Bryan Zech (.600, 2 HR, 4 RBI) have been FSU’s top three hitters vs. UF this season.
