After sweeping Michigan State 7-0 yesterday, the Florida State women’s tennis team has won its last two dual matches and will try to extend the streak against No. 64 Marquette on Thursday March 8th at 2:30 p.m.
FSU currently stand at 5-5 for the season while the visiting Golden Eagles arrive in Tallahassee with a 4-7 overall record.
“We have a difficult schedule this year with a lot of matches on the road. The match against Marquette is going to be important in helping some of our players get to where they need to be. Playing at home is good for us, it is where the girls are most comfortable and confident,” said Florida State head coach Lise Gregory.
With a victory over Marquette on Thursday, Gregory would move into a tie for second place for all-time coaching wins at Florida State with 68. Gregory already has the highest winning percentage in FSU women’s tennis coaching history.
