No. 54 FSU Takes On No. 72 UCF

Tallahassee – The No. 54 Florida State women’s tennis team (4-0) host the No. 72 University of Central Florida (0-2) for the first time this season. The Seminoles are off to a season-high four match win streak. UCF is has two losses this season in as many matches.

Against the Knights

Since the first match between UCF and the Seminoles, the Tribe is 2-0 in as many contests. The first match was played in 2002 with FSU coming out on top 4-3. Then sophomores Anca Dumitrescu and Christina Denny picked up wins in singles and then paired up to secure the doubles point for the team victory.


Against the “Sun”

Florida State is undefeated against the Atlantic Sun Conference in 18 contests since 1981. The Tribe has played six teams over the last 22 years, to amass a 18-0 record: Central Florida, Florida Atlantic, Georgia State, Jacksonville, Stetson and most recently Stetson.
