Senior guard Brittany Brown is coming off a memorable game in FSU’s 72-65 win over No. 9/8 Louisville on Thursday at home. The Fort Walton Beach, Fla., native became FSU’s all-time steals leader (she has 279) and also became the 34th Seminole to join the 1,000-point club. Brown’s stat-stuffing performance included 12 points, 11 rebounds (sixth career double-double), seven assists and six steals.
Florida State continues to excel in some of the most important categories nationally. FSU ranks in the Top 10 nationwide in free throws made (6th – 272), scoring margin (7th – +25.0), rebound margin (8th – +11.4) and free throw attempts (9th – 377).
In last year’s 85-40 win at Clemson on Jan. 14, 2016, FSU finished 25-of-29 (82.6 percent) from the free throw line and was paced by Ivey Slaughter’s 18 points. The Noles generated some good offense in that matchup, shooting 50.9 percent from the floor.
