No. 9 Duke Too Much For FSU

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) – Reserve Missy West scored 17 points and Georgia
Schweitzer added 16 to lead No. 9 Duke past Florida State 87-52 on Thursday.

Lauren Rice scored 15 points for the Blue Devils (23-4, 12-3 Atlantic Coast
Conference), who won their fifth straight ACC game and 13th straight over
Florida State (11-15, 4-11).

Michele Matyasovsky and Sheanna Mosch scored 12 each and Mosch added 11
rebounds.

The Seminoles were led by Brooke Wyckoff with 15 points. Latavia Coleman had
11, and April Traylor scored 10.

Duke was 34-of-59 from the field (58 percent) and had a 43-27 rebounding
edge. Florida State was 20-of-63 (32 percent) in its most lopsided loss of the
season.

Rice scored 13 points and Schweitzer 11 to pace the Blue Devils to a 47-24
lead at the break.

Florida State led 8-6 before three straight baskets and an assist by
Schweitzer. Rice then scored six points in 16-2 run that put Duke up 38-18 with
5:01 left in the half.

Florida State missed 11 of its first 14 shots in the second half, and Duke
led 79-40 when its starters left the game with 4:44 to play.
