Florida State student-athletes from four sports discussed the importance of exercise at the third annual Tallahassee Fitness Festival at the Leon County Civic Center on Saturday, January 30.

Student-athletes from the football, golf, soccer and track and field teams signed autographs, mingled with the guest and children and engaged in friendly competition on an inflatable obstacle course and boxing ring all while teaching kids how important exercise is.

“Leading a healthy lifestyle is really important,” golfer Jamie Kuhn said. “It was nice to see the community come together to promote something so vital to our society.”

For one day, local residents were able to experience the latest exercise classes, home gym equipment and health and nutrition products. Guests learned about the latest techniques for getting fit, met professionals in the fitness industry, test drove new gym equipment, sampled free health foods and even participated in aerobic classes. An interactive Kids Korner also provided activities for the children in attendance. More than150 local and national vendors were in attendance conducting free health screenings, providing health and fitness information and free product samples.
