Noles In The NFL: Week 5

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Monday Night Football will have a heavy Florida State flavor as Jameis Winston and Roberto Aguayo of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers line up across from Kelvin Benjamin and Graham Gano of the Carolina Panthers. As for Sunday’s action, Devonta Freeman continued his hot start to the season and Vince Williams once again played a big role in Pittsburgh’s defensive efforts. Here’s a lap around the league:

Washington 16, Baltimore 10
Redskins: RB Chris Thompson carried two times for 12 yards and caught four passes for 33 yards. K Dustin Hopkins was 1 for 2 on field goals (make from 27, miss from 56) and was 1 for 2 on extra points.
Ravens: DT Timmy Jernigan started, made four tackles (one for loss) and registered a QB hurry.

New England 33, Cleveland 13
Patriots: G Tre’ Jackson (knee) is on injured reserve.
Browns: C Cameron Erving (chest) was inactive. DT Nile Lawrence-Stample(shoulder) is on injured reserve.

Detroit 24, Philadelphia 23
Lions: WR Anquan Boldin started and caught four passes for 48 yards.
Eagles: LB Nigel Bradham started and made five tackles (three for loss). S Terrence Brooks was inactive.

Indianapolis 29, Chicago 23
Colts: CB Patrick Robinson started, made six tackles and forced a fumble.
Bears: LB Christian Jones started and recorded one tackle. DT Eddie Goldman(ankle) was inactive.

Tennessee 30, Miami 17
Titans: G Josue Matias (knee) is on injured reserve.

Minnesota 31, Houston 13
Vikings: CB Xavier Rhodes started and made two tackles.

Pittsburgh 31, New York Jets 13
Steelers: Vince Williams started, made nine tackles (three for loss) and added a sack and two QB hurries. LB Lawrence Timmons started and made eight tackles (two for loss), was credited with half of a sack and posted two QB hurries.

Atlanta 23, Denver 16
Falcons: RB Devonta Freeman started and carried 23 times for 88 yards and one touchdown. He also added 35 yards on three catches.
Broncos: LB Dekoda Watson played but did not record any statistics.

Buffalo 30, Los Angeles 19
Rams: CB Lamarcus Joyner made four tackles.
Bills: CB Ronald Darby started and made six tackles. LS Garrison Sanborn handled the long-snapping duties. TE Nick O’Leary played but did not record any statistics. QB EJ Manuel did not play. RB James Wilder Jr. (head) is on injured reserve.

Oakland 34, San Diego 31
Raiders: C Rodney Hudson started up front. K Sebastian Janikowski was for 4 for 5 on field goal attempts (makes from 56, 48, 26 and 20 yards; miss from 50) and was 2 for 2 on extra points. LT Menelik Watson was inactive. DE Mario Edwards Jr. (hip).

Green Bay 23, New York 16
Packers: DT Letroy Guion defended a pass.
Giants: OL Bobby Hart started at right tackle.

Jaguars: LB Telvin Smith has recorded 32 tackles and two passes defended this season. WR Rashad Greene has caught three passes for 24 yards. He’s also returned 10 punts for a total of 86 yards (long of 42).

Panthers: WR Kelvin Benjamin has caught 16 passes for 237 yards and four touchdowns this season. K Graham Gano is 8 for 9 on field goals (long of 54 yards) and 9 of 10 on extra points.
