Florida State opens a four-game road swing on Wednesday when the Seminoles head to Orlando to take on UCF.

The Seminoles are looking for their 17th consecutive road win on Wednesday and will look to continue a nine-game winning streak over the Knights.

Opponents are shooting 36.3 percent from three-point range against the Seminoles this year but the FSU defense is holding opponents to a 35.2 shooting percentage from the field.

With a win the Seminoles would move to 9-0 to open a season for the second time in school history. The 2004-05 team opened with 12 consecutive victories.

The Seminoles are one of 13 teams with an unblemished record in 2009.

Scouting UCF
• UCF comes into Wednesday’s contest with a 2-4 record after Monday’s loss at home against Alabama, 64-62. It was the Knights third consecutive loss by three points or less.
• Conference USA Preseason Player of the Year Emma Cannon is leading the Knights in scoring and rebounding at 14.8 ppg and 10.0 rpg.
• The Knights have four scorers averaging double-figures this year, including Marshay White (11.3 ppg) who is the fi rst player off the bench for head coach Joi Williams.
• UCF hosts Alabama, Florida State and Notre Dame before the New Year and has had one of the toughest non-conference schedules the past two years.

Against Conference USA Foes
• FSU is 47-46 all time against current Conference USA competition.
• The Seminoles have won six straight against CUSA teams, including an 82-70 win over UCF last year at the Tucker Center.

Last Time Out
Jacinta Monroe scored 14 points to lead Florida State (No. 9 ESPN/USA Today, No. 12 AP) to a 78-50 victory over Alcorn State on Dec. 6.
• The Seminoles moved to 8-0 for just the second time in school history, joining the 2004-05 squad who started the season 12-0 before suffering their first defeat.
• The FSU bench tallied 29 points, the seventh time this season that the bench scored 20 points or more.

Up Next For The Seminoles
• The Seminoles will continue a four-game road stretch when they head to Las Vegas for the Duel in the Desert set to be held December 19-21.
• FSU opens the tournament on Saturday against UT-San Antonio (4-3) at 12:30 p.m. PT and then will take on either Arkansas or DePaul in the second round. On the other side of the bracket is tournament host UNLV along with Hawai’i, Kansas State and VCU.
