TALLAHASSEE, Fla – The Florida State Seminoles held an afternoon practice
in shells as they continued work for their national championship matchup
with Tennessee. The team participated in agilities and conditioning before
practice along with special teams work. The remainder of the day was spent
on fundamental drills and practice against Tennessee scout teams.
“We will work out in shells again tomorrow and shorts on Saturday morning
before letting them leave for the break,” said head coach Bobby Bowden.
“We feel like we don’t need to take any more chances. We want to send them
in home in good shape so we’ll give them more conditioning Friday and
The Seminoles will return from Christmas break on December 26th and
depart for the Fiesta Bowl on December 28th after practicing in
Tallahassee. The game is January 4th at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.
“I’ve watched most of Tennessee’s games on tape,” said Bowden. “They are
very sound and very solid, that’s what makes them hard to beat.”
No new injuries were reported after today’s practice.
