TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
The Seminoles will open the regular season on Friday when they host the North Florida Lady Ospreys at 7 p.m. in the Donald L. Tucker Center. Florida State returns a bevy of talent, including second team All-ACC selection Jacinta Monroe and 2008-09 ACC assist leader Courtney Ward.

The Seminole starting lineup will have a few new faces this season with the departure of seniors Tanae Davis-Cain and Mara Freshour but guards Angel Gray and Alysha Harvin both averaged more than 22 minutes per game a year ago and should provide veteran leadership in the backcourt for the `Noles.

Florida State is coming off one of its most successful seasons ever as the Seminoles shared the ACC regular season title and posted a 26-8 overall record, the fourth 20-win season under head coach Sue Semrau.

The Seminoles cruised in their lone exhibition of the season with a 70-36 win over Valdosta State on November 1 as Alexa Deluzio led all scorers with 15 points.
