TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
The Ole Miss men’s golf team continued to hold the team lead and are one stroke ahead of Virginia after two rounds of the Seminole Intercollegiate Men’s Golf Tournament at Golden Eagle Golf Course. The Rebels tied for the best team score of the day (282) and have two players (Joe David and Sean Dale) currently ranked in the top five of the individual standings.

Three players – David of Ole Miss, Ryan Haselden of Vanderbilt and Conrad von Borsig of Virginia are tied for the individual lead with identical scores of five-under par 139. Von Borsig led the trio with a one-under par score of 71 in the second round. David Lingmerth of Arkansas and Tyler Matthews of Vanderbilt turned in the best individual scores of the day with scores of four-under par 68.

Florida State, the host school for the event, is in fourth place with one round remaining to be played. The Seminoles are 11 strokes behind Ole Miss, 10 behind Virginia and five behind Vanderbilt.

Sophomore Drew Kittleson, who will play in the The Master’s tournament in April, is in a tie for eighth place in the individual standings with a one under par total of 143. Senior All-American Matt Savage is in a tie for 10th place with an even par score of 144.

The final round of play is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. (remember to set your clocks ahead one hour because of daylight savings time). Admission is free and fans are encouraged to walk the course with the participants.
