Fall Camp begins tonight at 6:00 p.m.
Isn't it funny how one sentence or a headline can say so much more than ten paragraphs could even hope to summarize?
One sentence--that's all it is. And yet it almost seems to take on a life of its own.
When you read that sentence, do thoughts start to swirl in your head? Do those emotions that have lay dormant since the spring football game begin to take life once again?
Well they should!
I can finally stop writing blog entries about yearning and waiting for football. I can stop the babble about missing the sport that all of us Seminole fans have come to know and love.
And yes, I know some of you out there might think, "This Scott guy is full of it! We still have 30 days to kickoff, so shut it, Kotick."
Well yes, you're certainly right that kickoff is on September 4th. I'm fully aware of that. The schedule on my wall reminds me of that about every 20 seconds throughout the workday!
But that one sentence (the lead for you journalism connoisseurs) gives me excitement, and it should give you that same feeling.
There are plenty of storylines that we could go into for fall practice, but I'll spare you the details. One thing is certain: we're going to learn a whole lot at this first practice, and it'll be great just to see the team play football once again.
That's it for this blog entry, but rest assured you rabid, garnet and gold-bleeding, devoted Seminole fans: we'll have you covered right here on Seminoles.com for the best coverage of fall camp.
The work finally starts, and I for one, am stoked that's it here and I can taste the feeling once again.
It's in the air: football is back.
That sentence should be more than enough to get you through Thursday.
