Scouting Report
Oklahoma-Sooners rode left arm and smart decisions of Heisman runner-up
QB
Josh Heupel to magical season. He’s especially adept at handling pressure, a
huge asset here. Tenacious LB Torrance Marshall leads active defense that
carried OU down the stretch. But his unit is not used to covering as many
speedy receivers as FSU will send downfield. Offense must find balance.

Florida State-Seminoles gunning for second straight national title.
Heisman
winner Chris Weinke will be without suspended WR Marvin Minnis, his favorite
target. But FSU boasts slew of talented receivers, and RB Travis Minor is
always dangerous. Stellar defense, led by All-American DE Jamal Reynolds,
can
be beaten if it can’t get to QB.
