Men’s Basketball Puts Up Triple Digits in NIT
Florida State defeated Georgetown 101-90, the first team in 13 years to score 100 points against Georgetown. It is the second most points in an NIT game in school history as Florida State moves on to the quarterfinals. Florida State will now host Louisiana Tech Wednesday at 7 p.m. Winner advanced to the Final Four in New York.
Women’s Basketball Season Ends
The Seminoles saw their season come to an end as Stanford defeated Florida State 63-44 to move on to the Sweet Sixteen. They out rebounded, had more points in the paint, but their shooting was off, just shooting 31% while Stanford shot 48%. The Seminoles look to next season bringing in the 14th ranked recruiting class in the nation.
Men’s Golf Tied For Sixth After Monday
After the first day, the Seminoles stand in sixth place after a 7-under 561 on 36 holes. Freshman Jack Maguire who leads the entire tournament with an 11-under 131. The Seminoles close out the tournament today beginning at 9:42.
Baseball Takes on the Gators
The second game of the three game series gets under way in Jacksonville today. The Gators took game 1, 3-1. The Seminoles are 5-2 all time against Florida in Jacksonville, as they will play at the Baseball Grounds for the eighth straight year. First pitch is set for 6pm.
Softball Sweeps ACC Honors This Week
Both Lacey Waldrop and Bailey Schinella picked up ACC honors this week. Waldrop picked up ACC Pitcher of the week for the 10th time in her carrer and fifth time this season, while Schinella has earned her first ACC honor of her career.
