TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – Fans are encouraged to help the Florida State women’s basketball team “Paint it Pink” on Sunday at the Donald L. Tucker Center.
FSU’s 1 p.m. matchup with No. 5 Duke is the Seminoles’ annual breast cancer awareness game.
The “Paint it Pink” game is presented by the Tallahassee Memorial Health Care Foundation, the Sharron Ewing Walker Breast Health Center and WTLH FOX49.
Join head coach Sue Semrau and the Garnet and Gold squad as they raise awareness for the disease.
“Tallahassee has been fantastic in supporting this cause,” Semrau said. “Women’s basketball needs to be a leader in the fight against breast cancer. Events like this Sunday give hope and motivation to survivors. Please be a part of our team in helping raise money for early detection of breast cancer.”
T-shirts will be available with a $10 donation and the first fans can receive a pink pom-pom and pink ribbons. Before the game, fans can stop by the marketing table and the TMH table located on the concourse for information.
After the game, fans are encouraged to checkout some online auctions at Seminoles.com to win an autographed team ball and a pink shoe signed by Semrau. All proceeds will benefit the Tallahassee Memorial Sharon Ewing Walker Breast Health Center.
