TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Riding a wave of momentum following a thrilling victory over No. 7 Georgia on Wednesday, the No. 18 Florida State softball team will resume conference play by hosting Boston College this weekend at the Seminole Softball Complex.
Winners of four in a row, the Seminoles (27-8, 1-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) will match up against the Eagles (9-10, 0-0) in a doubleheader on Saturday and then in a single game on Sunday.
Game times on Saturday are 1 and 3 p.m. followed by a noon start on Sunday.
FSU student-athletes will wear pink jerseys on Saturday as part of the “Paint It Pink” initiative. The jerseys will then be auctioned off with those proceeds and the proceeds raised at the game benefitting the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital Sharon Ewing Walker Breast Health Center.
In addition to “Paint it Pink” festivities, Seminole fans can sign up at Seminoles.com to compete in a homerun derby that will take place on the field immediately following the 3 p.m. contest.
Florida State will be looking to not only raise money for a fantastic cause but to move above .500 in conference play. The ‘Noles are winners of six-straight over Boston College.
For those fans outside of Tallahassee, both Saturday games will be streamed online as part of Seminoles.com All-Access.
