Some facts about Florida State’s new Morcom Aquatic Center

The main swimming pool is the pool used at the 2005 World Championships in Montreal, Canada. Nine World Records have been broken in the pool.

The main pool and diving well combined hold approximately 1.5 million gallons of water.

The main pool temperature is kept at 80 degrees while the diving pool is two degrees warmer at 82.

There are two one-meter and three-meter boards as well as platforms at one, three, five, seven and 10 meter heights. The 10 foot width of the platforms are the widest in the country and can be used for synchronized diving competitions.

The total cost of the project was approximately $10.5 million.
