TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State senior Natalie Pierce was recognized by collegeswimming.com as the ACC Swimmer of the Week on Wednesday.
Pierce posted the best dual meet performance of her career, winning both the 100 breast and 200 breast events over another top 20 national opponent, Justine Macfarlane of Alabama.
The Bloomfield Hills, Mich., native touched first in the 100 breast with a time of 1:01.16 before holding off Macfarlane in the 200 breast, clocking 2:12.67.
Pierce also helped the 200 medley relay to a second place finish (1:39.71), splitting 27.62.
The 25th-ranked Seminoles will host No. 22 Notre Dame in a two-day dual starting on Friday at 4 p.m. at the Morcom Aquatics Center.
