TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – For the fifth time this season the Seminoles took home an ACC Honor, this time it was Player of the Week. Defeating two ranked teams including No. 1 Wake Forest, redshirt senior Lucas Poullain earned his second ACC Player of the Week honor this season.
“I am thrilled for Lucas,” said head coach Dwayne Hultquist. “He continues to have a great year for us in both singles and doubles. His win over a top-30 player in Skander Mansouri was huge for us to tie the match.”
Poullain went 2-0 on court three in singles this week including a ranked win over No. 30 Skander Mansouri of Wake Forest. Poullain earned his 15th win of the season with a 6-1, 6-3 win against No. 23 NC State and had his biggest win of the spring with a three-set win over Mansouri of Wake to even the match against the No. 1 team at three. Poullain leads the team in wins with 16.
