ATLANTA, Ga. – Senior Rob Holderness will be seeded second in the 200 breast and two Seminoles made finals on the final morning of competition at the 2011 ACC Men’s Swimming Championships.
After winning the 100 breast, Holderness began his quest for the breaststroke sweep by earning the second seed in the 200 with a time of 1:57.49. Senior Matt Shead earned a second swim with a 13th-place showing (2:01.51) as well.
In the 100 free, three Florida State swimmers earned second swims led by senior Robby Hayes who made the final with a seventh-place showing (43.82). Sophomore Mark Weber and Trice Bailey will compete in the consolation final with 11th (44.24) and 16th-place (44.52) finishes respectively.
Two Seminoles made the consolation final in the 200 back as senior Ian Rowe was tied for 10th (1:46.81) and sophomore Brad Morrison was 16th (1:47.68). Sophomore Mark Cox earned the final spot in the consolation final of the 200 fly finishing 16th (1:48.54).
