ATHENS, Ga. –
Florida State University senior Katie Quinney finished in third place in the individual standings and the Seminole women’s golf team finished in ninth place in the team standings as competition at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic came to a close at the University of Georgia Golf Course. Quinney tied her career best finish and the Seminoles gained their fifth top-10 finish in seven events this year.

Fifth-ranked Georgia rallied from a six-stroke deficit entering the final round to win the event, using a three-under par 285 to defeat No. 6 Ohio State by 11 strokes, 865 to 876. The Lady Bulldogs’ one over par 865 total set a par 72 Liz Murphey Classic record. Duke’s Brittany Lang won the individual championship with a nine-under par 207.
