“As a team we are getting back on track,” said Salinas. “Everyone is playing well and playing for each other. We have confidence in each other and that confidence seems to be growing with each round.”

Freshman Laure Castelain (Bordeaux, France) is in a tie for 10th place in the individual standings as she carded a 1 over par score of 71. She began her round on fire with two birdies on her first six holes and finished the round with even scores of par of 10 of her final 13 holes. “We are off to a good start but have lots of work to finish over the weekend.” Said head coach Amy Bond. We need to cut down on our high total of bogeys. We are close to putting together a round where all five of our girls play well. Maria played well today – the next two days should be a lot of fun. ”

Florida State will tee off on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. and will play with Auburn and Kentucky.
