Advisor for: Men’s & Women’s Swimming & Diving, Women’s Soccer
Kylie Amato, a native of Toomsuba, Mississippi, joined the Florida State Athletic Academic Support staff as a Post-Graduate Intern and was promoted to Academic Counselor in Fall 2003. Kylie oversees the academic progress of the Women’s Soccer and Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving teams. She is responsible for advising the student-athletes in their course selection, as well as monitoring their academic eligibility. She also assists with the recruitment of all prospective student-athletes. In addition to her responsibilities as an Academic Counselor, Kylie also serves as a staff representative to the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and is a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A). Kylie began her career in athletics as a graduate assistant volleyball coach at Northwestern State University, where she earned a Masters Degree in Sports Administration. Prior to earning her degree at Northwestern, Kylie earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of West Alabama, where she lettered in volleyball.
