Seminole Fans Encouraged To Wear Garnet

Tallahassee, Fla. –
Florida State fans are being asked to wear garnet to the football games beginning with the Miami game on October 13. A campaign to have FSU fans wear garnet as the primary color to the games is being mounted by former FSU football player Bob Fohl and fellow members of the Varsity Club (FSU’s letterwinners association).
Fohl, who played for the Seminoles in the 1950’s, has been exploring the idea as a sign of unity among FSU fans. “We have some fans wearing garnet, some gold and some white, but we thought it would be impressive and an inspiration for the team if they saw all our fans wearing the same color. We want are fans to wear garnet it, darn it.”
Fohl hopes the Alumni Association as well as Seminole Boosters everywhere will help in this effort.
