Seminole Football Concludes Preparations for Wake Forest

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Fifth-ranked Florida State concluded preparations for
Saturday’s game at Wake Forest with a 15-period workout in shorts on
Thursday afternoon at Ed Williamson Practice Fields.

“We have had an excellent week of practice,” said Seminole head coach
Bobby Bowden. “I really liked the focus of our guys this week despite all
of the distractions around the team regarding the injury to (Chris)

FSU finalized its game plan and worked against its scout units. The
Seminoles also worked on special teams play.

A Florida State win on Saturday would clinch its seventh consecutive
Atlantic Coast Conference championship and keep its hopes of a national
championship alive.

“A lot of people keep wanting to talk about Florida but a win this week
gives us the conference,” said Bowden. “If we lose this week, the
following game doesn’t mean as much.”

Bowden noted one lineup change for Saturday. Jarad Moon will start at
center in place of Eric Thomas.

Saturday’s game kicks off at 5:00 p.m. and will be broadcast nationally
on ESPN 2.
